Artist Lecture Series

At Trinidad State College, we actively encourage connection and support of our creative community. The TSC Visual Art Department hosts this Artist Lecture Series in order to give a platform for artists and art professionals to present their expertise. These lectures are set for the first Thursday of the month to support visiting artists who are showing on First Friday. The lectures take place on Trinidad State College campus which is easily accessible to the campus and the community.

Andrew Barker
Andrew Barker is an award-winning artist who creates contemporary works themed around the flora, fauna, and landscapes of the Rocky Mountains and the American West. Working primarily in watercolor and ink, Andrew has developed a unique style that is influenced by naturalist illustration, Japanese printmaking, tattoo design, and mid-century graphic arts. He celebrates the natural world through depictions of conflict, death, rebirth, and the struggles and joys of existence that are shared among all living beings.
